The Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe is now partnering with Eures Ireland and the Experience Your Europe (EYE) youth employment initiative that is administered by the Department of Social Protection.
We are pleased that our trainee placement in the area of Estates and Facilities Management has now been added to the list of eligible posts and we are looking to fill this role as soon as possible.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is completing or has completed their studies in the area of estate maintenance, horticulture, construction skills, facilities maintenance or decoration and who would like to gain experience in this area and work in our historic building and gardens.
We are offering a 6-month placement in Belgium at the historic Irish College in Leuven. The successful applicant will receive a weekly payment of €125.00, paid for private accommodation, meals/food vouchers and have access to laundry facilities. The trainee will be entitled to 10 days paid leave during the six months.
To qualify for the Experience Your Europe (EYE) Programme, applicants must be under 25 years of age and have been on the live register for the past three months. A further €80.00 per week will also be paid to the trainee under this initiative by the Department of Social Protection. Other costs may also be covered by the programme.
