The Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe has organised a number three day events at the college in Leuven during the month of July 2015. Each event will be based around a variety of rural development and agriculture themes including, market towns and village regeneration, women in the rural economy, rural and farming issues for young people, small businesses and tourism, the rural environment, local food production and specialities and renewable energy.
The structure to the programmes will consist of talks and panel discussions along with a visit to an agricultural facility that will be of interest to the participants. By involving farming and rural organisations in Belgium we will create a good interactive pan European programme around issues that are pertinent to farming and rural communities in Ireland.
