The Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe is a not for profit, non-governmental body that was established in Leuven, Belgium in 1984. The Institute’s mission is, “to research, design and deliver high quality, customised, residential education and training programmes for all sectors in Ireland and Northern Ireland aimed at maximising the opportunities presented by membership of the European Union.”
Strategically based, The Leuven Institute draws on expertise from across Brussels, Benelux and the wider European Union to produce bespoke residential education and training programmes and events, at its campus in the historic Irish College in Leuven, for higher education authorities, business organisations, the public sector and the voluntary community on the island of Ireland.
With a track record of thirty years, The Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe has a proud history of meeting its clients’ academic, professional development and business enhancement needs. Programmes developed by the Institute provide for the opportunity to investigate best practice and benchmarking; integrate education curriculums; enrich corporate training courses and explore new opportunities to access funding and develop new markets.
The Institute’s offices in Dublin and Belfast are working closer with existing and potential partners to develop new initiatives to complement their activities. As a not for profit organisation we deliver our programmes without mark-up or margin on the programme costs.
